What we collect when you use this site or get in touch, why, and what your rights are. Short version: no advertising trackers, no cookies for analytics, and we only keep what we need to reply to you.
Graith Internet, Forest Vale Industrial Estate, 23 Foxes Bridge Road, Cinderford, Gloucestershire, GL14 2PQ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions about this notice: sales@graith.co.uk.
When you send a message through the contact form we receive your name, email address, your message, the page you sent it from, the time, and the IP address it was sent from. We use this to reply to you and to tell genuine enquiries apart from automated spam. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and, where you go on to become a client, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
Messages are delivered to our mailbox hosted by IONOS in the EU and UK. We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation is live and for up to two years afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case they form part of our client records.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are read, where visitors come from, and how the site performs. It is a cookieless, privacy-first service: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not fingerprint or track you across sites. Cloudflare receives the page address, referrer, browser type and approximate country, and shows us aggregate figures only. We cannot identify individual visitors from it. Because nothing is stored on your device, no consent banner is required under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Our hosting provider, IONOS, keeps standard web server logs (IP address, page requested, time, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. These are retained for a short period under the provider’s own policy and then deleted.
The contact form uses one session cookie, PHPSESSID, so that the form can protect itself against forged submissions and show you the result of sending a message. It is strictly necessary for that function, contains no personal data, and expires when you close your browser. There are no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics cookies.
Some articles embed YouTube videos. Loading a video connects your browser to YouTube (Google), which may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy. Nothing loads until you play a video.
We do not sell or share your personal data with anyone for marketing. The only processors involved are IONOS (hosting and email) and Cloudflare (analytics), both under their standard data processing terms.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to our processing of it, or ask for a copy. Email sales@graith.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
